The launch of Sweden Life Science Community Collaboration brought together community builders from across the country’s leading life science hubs. The first meeting gathered representatives from Gothenburg, Stockholm, Lund, and Uppsala to strengthen ties between regions and explore ways of working more closely together.

Participants from Medicon Village, GoCo Health Innovation City, AstraZeneca BioVenture Hub, Flemingsberg Science Foundation, Stockholm Science City Foundation, Vectura, STUNS, Uppsala Business Park, and The Park took part in discussions aimed at fostering cooperation, sharing best practices, and maximizing the impact of local initiatives and networks.

The dialogue focused on common challenges, opportunities for collaboration, and how Sweden’s diverse life science ecosystems can be seen as a united strength nationally and internationally. A recurring message was that successful ecosystems are built on strong relationships — and that building bridges across city and regional lines is key to unlocking new opportunities.

Marked by openness, insight, and curiosity, the first meeting laid the foundation for long-term collaboration and a shared commitment to continue building Sweden’s life science community together.
