When Karolinska Institutet (KI) hosted its recent internship fair, The Park was once again on site—actively engaging with PhD students and postdocs to explore new opportunities to bring academic talent into its vibrant innovation community.
KI, one of the world’s leading medical universities, is deepening its commitment to industry collaboration. With internship opportunities spanning pharmaceuticals, medtech, digital health, and social innovation, KI continues to be a dynamic hub where research meets entrepreneurship—empowering its talent to thrive even beyond academia.
The Park first connected with PhD student Ruby Schipper through this very fair means, and the experience has been a clear success. “Being at The Park has been incredibly inspiring. I’ve learned so much about how innovation ecosystems work and how collaboration fuels progress. It’s exciting to contribute to a brand that’s so dynamic and community-driven,” says Ruby Schipper. “KI is close to my heart—I’ve worked there and know the incredible talent it cultivates,” says Armando, spokesperson for The Park. “Bringing Ruby on board is more than a great experience—it’s a reminder of how much potential lies in connecting with the next generation of changemakers.”
Encouraged by the value of this connection, The Park continues to engage with KI’s internship program, recognizing it as a meaningful way to bring fresh perspectives into its community, support emerging researchers, and strengthen the bridge between academia and the life science industry.
