On the last Wednesday of November, The Park Forskaren in Hagastaden hosted the annual World AIDS Day Mingle, a special event organized in collaboration with QX Förlag AB, Posithivagruppen, RFSL Stockholm, Noaks Ark Stockholm, Urban Deli, and Vectura Fastigheter. The evening brought together guests to raise awareness and celebrate the progress in HIV research and prevention.
A Night Focused on Awareness and Progress
The event kicked off with mingling, wine, and appetizers as guests connected and engaged in meaningful conversations. Sex experts from RFSL Stockholm and Noaks Ark offered on-site testing with immediate results, emphasizing the importance of regular testing and awareness.
Ronny Larsson and Anders Öhrman, the editors-in-chief of QX, introduced the December issue – the 351st edition – before Ronny Larsson interviewed Mohammed Wallai from Posithivagruppen. They discussed the global “95-95-95” goal and how we can work together to reduce HIV/AIDS stigma, as well as the importance of testing and using PrEP as a preventative measure.
Music and Community to Warm the Evening
The atmosphere was filled with good vibes thanks to music from DJ Mattias Lundström, setting an energetic tone for the evening. Guests also had the chance to purchase festive items from QX’s online store, all while staying warm inside as the cold November winds blew outside.
Pride and Hope for the Future
We at The Park are extremely proud to have hosted this significant event. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of collaboration and community in spreading knowledge, inspiring action, and supporting HIV research.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making this evening unforgettable. Together, we are taking steps toward a future free from HIV stigma and disease.
