Below, you’ll find a detailed breakdown of each part of the day.
We start the day by setting the tone. After a warm welcome and intro to The Park and Hagastaden, the surrounding innovation district, participants hear an energizing keynote from our CEO Mikael Ahlström about challenge-driven innovation, and how identifying real problems leads to real value. This is followed by guided reflection using a personal canvas to identify your current innovation strengths and challenges. The group then works together to formulate shared problem statements that will shape the rest of the day.
In this hands-on section, participants map out a real user journey connected to the chosen challenge area. Through guided workshops, they identify key friction points and turn them into “how might we” questions. From there, teams generate creative solution ideas using structured tools like the Idea Mashups and Idea Matrix, helping both analytical and creative minds contribute. The goal is to go from insight to a wide palette of potential concepts fast.
The day wraps up with clarity and action. Teams cluster and prioritize the best ideas using impact-effort grids, then create simple prototypes or storyboards to bring them to life. Participants pitch their concepts in a friendly feedback round and receive coaching to refine their message. The session ends with next-step mapping, helping each team clarify what to take forward, how to test their ideas, and how to involve decision-makers post-workshop.
