The recent tour with the companies shaping Flemingsberg felt like stepping into tomorrow. Each project we visited represents more than just buildings—it’s about creating a place where innovation, research, and collaboration grow side by side. Seeing how different actors are working together to make that vision a reality gives us at The Park even more confidence in the future of this district.
Our journey began at Blickagången 6, home to the NEO Building, where both KTH and Karolinska Institutet (KI) are represented in smaller offices and laboratories. This space reflects the strong academic foundation of the area, where education and early-stage research thrive.
Continuing east along Blickagången, we reached Karolinska University Hospital (Huddinge)—a cornerstone of advanced medical research and patient care. The hospital stands as a testament to the district’s commitment to health innovation and excellence.
Just a short walk away is Ana Futura, a cutting-edge research facility focused on advanced medical science. Along Alfred Nobels Allé, which stretches about one kilometer, several pioneering companies have established themselves, including SmartCella, Bactiguard, and the main KI building. This corridor is quickly becoming a hub for biotech and life science innovation. We then visited the Fabege Building, where Duncan gave an inspiring presentation to our guests. The building itself is a symbol of the dynamic business environment emerging in Flemingsberg—one that supports both startups and established enterprises.
Finally, we stopped by Alfa Laval, a global leader in technology and innovation. Their presence here reinforces Flemingsberg’s growing reputation as a magnet for forward-thinking companies.
As The Park prepares to open The Park Novum, we’re thrilled to see the space coming together. The official opening is set for 5 November, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome the community into this new hub for creativity, entrepreneurship, and collaboration.
To help everyone get to know the space, we’re happy to announce that every Wednesday after the Lilla Lördag breakfast seminar, guests are invited to join a guided tour through Novum Lab and The Park Novum. It’s a great opportunity to explore the facilities, meet the team, and see firsthand how Flemingsberg is becoming a launchpad for the future.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on this inspiring tour. The future isn’t just coming—it’s already here.
