Beckmans (Are We There Yet) + AIME
đ
21st of March, 2025
đ The Cell, Atrium & Urban Deli
đ 5 PM – 6 PM
On March 21, The Cell invites you to an AW where research and visual communication meet. Alumni from Beckmans School of Design and researchers from AIMES present their perspectives on antibiotic resistance â a growing global threat.Â
Antibiotic resistance through research and design
The evening begins with the project Are We There Yet ?, where alumni from Beckman interpret research in poster format. Antibiotic resistance is a natural process, but overuse of antibiotics in humans and animals accelerates it â with serious consequences for global health and food security. In a circular installation in The Cell’s atrium, 7 visual stories are presented that challenge misconceptions and highlight solutions to the problem. The students want to encourage conversation and highlight how measures, at all levels of society, can reduce the impact and slow the spread of resistance.Â
Researchers from AIMES deepen the conversation through short presentations on the latest research. How does antibiotic resistance affect us today? What can we do to slow down the development?Â
