The Park Forskaren is gearing up for an exciting Brain Awareness Week event at The Cell, aimed at engaging high school students and teachers with cutting-edge neuroscience. As part of the program, companies and startups are invited to present themselves to students in an interactive session.
An Opportunity to Inspire Future Innovators
The event, scheduled for Tuesday 11 March from 15:00 to 17:30, will welcome three high school classes to explore various aspects of brain research through interactive stations featuring:
- Talks by leading researchers
- Hands-on experiments in neuroscience labs
- An art tour or quiz in the exhibition space
- Company presentations in the atrium with fika
Startups and companies within The Park Forskaren community are invited to participate in the atrium session, where they can showcase their work, engage with students, and inspire the next generation of scientists and entrepreneurs.
Featured Research Topics
The event will include insightful talks from top researchers from Karolinska Institutet working on groundbreaking neuroscience topics:
🔬 Perception of Self-Generated Touch – Noa Cemeljic (Somatosensation & Gargalesis, Department of Neuroscience)
🐟 The Zebrafish Superpower: Adapting and Regenerating the Nervous System – Konstantinos Koutsogiannis (Neuroplasticity & Regeneration, Deparment of Neuroscience)
🧠 Using Mini-Brains to Study the Impact of Maternal Stress on a Baby’s Brain – Ilknur Safak Demirel (Developmental and Translational Neurobiology, Department of Physiology and Pharmacology)
How to Get Involved
If you are a company interested in connecting with students and sharing insights about your work, we would love to hear from you! Your participation will help spark curiosity, encourage future careers in life sciences, and showcase the exciting opportunities within the innovation ecosystem.
