On January 21, The Park Forskaren hosted Access to Medicine and Healthcare in Africa, an inspiring seminar in collaboration with Stockholm Science City. Renowned speakers Ola Rosling, President of Gapminder Foundation, and Stefan Swartling Peterson, Professor of Global Health at Karolinska Institutet, shared powerful insights on healthcare challenges and opportunities in Africa.
Ola Rosling challenged misconceptions about global health using eye-opening data, while Stefan Swartling Peterson highlighted Africa’s demographic trends and the steps needed to improve equitable healthcare. Their talks emphasized the critical role of collaboration and innovation in tackling global health challenges.
The seminar also marked the launch of a hackathon pilot with Partners for Patients NGO, aimed at transforming insights into impactful solutions. Special thanks to Stockholm Science City, Urban Deli, and all participants for making the event a success.
Together, we’re advancing knowledge and action for a healthier future.
