Just weeks after Forskaren was awarded Stockholm Building of the Year 2025, Vectura is already setting the stage for its next major contribution to Hagastaden: a brand new, architecturally bold and sustainable building called Mellom.

Planned to begin construction between 2026 and 2027 and conclude in 2030, Mellom will be built right in the heart of Hagastaden, just above the future metro station. With a total area of 50,000 square metres, the project aims to seamlessly blend workplace innovation with vibrant public life.

The building will include offices, laboratories, public spaces, and a multifunctional cultural and sports facility operated by KFUM Central, making it a true hub for community engagement. On the ground floor, shops and public activities will create a dynamic, open atmosphere that stays active around the clock.

Designed for the Future

In collaboration with internationally acclaimed architecture firm 3XN/GXN, Mellom promises to echo the innovative spirit of its sibling building, Forskaren, while establishing its own distinct identity. Like its predecessor, Mellom will place strong emphasis on sustainability, inclusivity, and flexibility, supporting Hagastaden’s emergence as a leading life science and innovation district.

Vectura describes Mellom as a space where “people, ideas and functions meet”, a natural continuation of their vision to develop environments that foster meaningful collaboration and long-term societal value.
