The future is plant-based in 2025
A conference about food, health, and sustainability.
Welcome to two inspiring days filled with evidence-based lectures, practical discussions, and new knowledge about how food shapes our health and future.
The conference is aimed at anyone who wants to understand the importance of food for health and healthcare. This is the third edition of The Future is Plant-Based and is held in the new Forskaren building in Hagastaden in Stockholm – an architecturally award-winning building and meeting place for science, innovation, and social development.
During the conference, leading Swedish and international voices will gather to show how plant-based diets can prevent, treat, and alleviate diseases, as well as how healthcare can take an active role in the transition towards healthier and more sustainable food environments.
Doctors for the Future participated in this year’s Stockholm Food Forum and shared insights from there, along with the latest research from EAT-Lancet 2025 and the updated Planetary Health Diet.
