This week marked the start of an exciting new collaboration between The Park Academy and AstraZeneca BioVentureHub in Gothenburg — a program dedicated to exploring how companies can keep innovation alive as they grow.
The kick-off brought together members of the BioVentureHub community for an inspiring and engaging session led by Mikael Ahlström, founder of The Park. Together with Pernilla Isberg, Director at BioVentureHub, participants explored how to define challenges, build an innovation culture, and prioritize ideas that create real value.
The session also introduced BioVentureHub’s new Seminar Series: “Innovation vs. Focus in the Scale-Up Journey”, designed to help scaling companies strengthen their creative edge while managing increasing complexity. Discussions ranged from identifying key challenges and mapping customer journeys to applying practical tools and methods for driving change.
In her reflection on the session, Pernilla Isberg highlighted that innovation isn’t a one-off spark but a discipline that can be nurtured — fueled by curiosity, courage, and collaboration across the BioVentureHub community.“At the BioVentureHub, we don’t just talk about growth, we practice it together,” said Isberg. “Because scaling isn’t only about getting bigger. It’s about staying curious, brave, and a little uncomfortable, even as things become more complex.”The collaboration between The Park Academy and AstraZeneca BioVentureHub will continue over the coming months, offering a space for leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators to learn from each other and explore new ways to combine innovation and focus in the scale-up journey.
