More than 2,400 events. Countless conversations. And a flood of new insights.
Last week, Almedalsveckan (Almedalen Week) transformed Visby into a dynamic meeting place for policy, innovation, and collaboration. Our team, represented by Mikael Ahlström (CEO and Founder) and Armando Cázares-Körner (Head of Community), was there not only to contribute to conversations on community building and collaboration, but also to dive deep into what’s happening in the life science sector, both in Sweden and globally. The goal was to understand how this critical field is evolving and how The Park can be a meaningful part of its future.
Highlights of the Second Half of Almedal Week
From the many events that took place, and that our team could join, during the last three days of Almedalen, here are a few highlights:
On Wednesday, SwedenBIO’s garden became the stage for collaboration. The panels and mingling delivered meaningful discussions on innovation, trust, and the future of life science.
Thursday shifted the focus to the anatomy of successful life science clusters in Sweden, hosted by Fabege, and counting with panelists from all over Sweden, including Flemingsberg. What does it take to build ecosystems that fuel research, business, and public health?
Friday’s highlight was a coffee hosted by Karolinska Institutet with its President Annika Östman Wernerson, bringing together KL colleagues, researchers, and thought leaders in a more relaxed setting.
Almedalen was fueled with ambition, urgency, and curiosity. And our team left with new insights, deeper relationships, and an even stronger sense of purpose.
We’re back home now, with new ideas, new energy, and new ways to connect. Thank you to everyone who crossed paths with us along the way.
