The Park Forskaren had the pleasure of hosting a brilliant group of final-year students from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business as part of their Global Real Estate program.
In a joint session co-hosted by CREIMAN and The Park, the students engaged with local experts to explore some of the most pressing issues shaping the global real estate landscape today: from rising interest rates and shifting migration patterns to geopolitical uncertainty, urban transformation, and innovation in how we use space.
A Space for Learning and Dialogue
Led by Professor Matthew Cypher, the session sparked meaningful conversations about the future of real estate, the evolving demands of cities, and the role of innovation in shaping communities. The students brought a level of curiosity, insight, and sharp questioning that made the dialogue as rewarding for the hosts as it was for the visitors.
Beyond Buildings: Creating Communities
Mikael Ahlström, Founder and CEO of The Park, welcomed the group to one of Stockholm’s most vibrant coworking communities. One of the key reflections shared during his presentation was that real estate is much more than just about buildings; it’s about creating communities where ideas thrive.
This perspective set the tone for the session, reminding everyone that the future of real estate lies in connecting people, ideas, and places, not just in physical structures.
A Shared Vision for the Future
As the session came to a close, what stood out most was the shared sense of possibility. By creating space for open dialogue between local leaders and international students, this visit reinforced the value of exchanging perspectives across borders and the importance of shaping communities with purpose and care.
