Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming 17 senior Omani leaders to The Park Forskaren, kicking off an immersive Discovery Visit organised with London Business School (UK) and the Royal Academy of Management (Oman). This discovery visit is designed to explore innovation, leadership, and collaboration in a global context.

The day began with an introduction to Sweden’s unique innovation journey—from Viking ingenuity to today’s global leadership in technology, life sciences, and sustainability. The group also explored the cultural foundations of Sweden’s success, including the well-known 10 Rules of Jante and the factors shaping a thriving innovation ecosystem.

A special session with Mikael Ahlström, CEO & Founder of The Park Lifescience Innovation Hub, provided firsthand insights into how collaboration fuels innovation in Sweden.
Business Visits: Engaging with Industry Leaders
The group had the unique opportunity to engage with two pioneering companies:

Elekta – Revolutionizing radiotherapy and cancer treatment solutions through advanced technology.
Innovation Hackathon: The Power of Co-Creation
The afternoon brought a hands-on experience in challenge-driven and citizen-driven innovation through an interactive hackathon session. Participants explored how hackathons accelerate problem-solving, foster collaboration, and drive real-world impact.
Exploring Critical Thinking & Perspectives
To conclude the day, the group visited the National Museum, where a guided tour and discussion with a Swedish government official provided deeper insights into Swedish culture, governance, and ways of thinking.
